Many of the mustachioed men on these fine pages look dapper, regal, smart. I dare say, this fellow looks like he fell off the hay wagon and was stepped on by various hooved ungulates.
the mustache was 19th century mans way of showing off to his 12 year old son with a nice thick prickly stache when all he could grow made him look like a peach growing a fuz for the winter, also he didnt have to feel his wifes twin facial hair in that area when they made out, thank god for the invention of razor blades that made the removial of the musthache more effiecient, not only for a man (tm) but for women too
