The Key to a Happy Childhood
What child wouldn't be thrilled to be have been sired by a gentleman with such a fine mustache? What hours of delight such a lucky child would have in knowing her father to be among a rarefied company. A wonderful handlebar like that could populate the entire world with siblings!
A beautiful image reproduced on my favorite photographic process, matte collodion printing-out paper.

That child would have grown a wonderful mustache by the time he was older, if it weren't for the ferrets.
ferrets....
Ferrets will forever be the bane of little babies. Sorry, little babies.
every time i look at one of your photos, i find myself wondering what age the people in the photo are. for instance, in this one, my guess is that he's younger than i initially supposed. i think the moustache makes one look older, especially in vintage shots.
The son (now 11 months old) is able to fully support his weight upon his father's resplendent hirsuteness.
Of course, it is my dream that upon reaching adolescence he will not be plagued with chronic and untreatable beardism.
Courage, little lad, courage.

If the baby didn't have such freakishly long legs.... The long gown is fooling no one. Fabulous mustache however.
